Education Diversity Recruiters
In an effort to recruit students of color and students from other underrepresented groups, Education Diversity Recruiters, a corps of current Education graduate student volunteers, assist visiting prospective students who are considering graduate study at the UW College Education by sharing their perceptions about the different College of Education areas, degrees, student opportunities, experiences, resources, and Seattle living.
EDRs also provide targeted services for campus visits. When scheduling a campus visit, prospective students may submit a request for any of the following services:
- campus tours emphasizing diversity resources and points of interest relevant to a specific academic program
- meet for coffee or meals to share insights and answer questions
- make contact via phone or email before and/or after the visit
- be an additional contact throughout the visit.
