About the College
International Programs & Partnerships

OVERVIEW

The UW College of Education is engaged in new and ongoing International Programs and Partnerships (IPP) to facilitate the internationalization of its educational programs, and to support the College’s strategic goals for faculty, students, and staff.  These goals include:

  • Contributing our knowledge of education research and practices to the search for solutions to local educational problems
  • Expanding our reach to examine education issues as global citizens

College of Education faculty, students, and staff are actively involved in a variety of international research and education activities which enrich the learning opportunities for the COE community.

The IPP World Map:
A Global Perspective on the College of Education

The IPP world map serves two interactive purposes.  First, the map disseminates information about the COE community’s international involvements.  Second, it collects information from faculty, students and staff who can easily share new activities for follow-up by International Programs and Partnerships staff.  Click on the map to add a marker of your own, or email us at  coe@uw.edu to tell us what you're doing! (Photos for the map must be submitted by email.)

A SPECIAL NOTE OF THANKS

To Brad Portin, D. Phil, new Director of UW Bothell Education Program effective July 2009, for his stellar efforts at organizing the new UW College of Education International Programs & Partnerships initiatives as the first IPP Director during 2005 - 2009.
