Academic Programs & Study Abroad
The UW College of Education strives to educate global citizens through a challenging and inclusive learning environment informed by cutting-edge scholarship that gives students the knowledge, experiences and tools needed to address education-related issues worldwide. Engaging a globally diverse campus and offering international opportunities for students is an essential component of the education provided at the University of Washington.
CHID (Comparative History of Ideas Department)
International study abroad programs offered through CHID year-round with scholarships available.
Evans School of Public Affairs /International Development Certificate
A one-year ID Policy and Management Program to give students the necessary frameworks for understanding the issues and challenges in developing countries.
Global Business Case Competition (GBCC)
Since 1999 the UW Foster School of Business has held an annual international case competition that brings together undergraduate business students from the U.S. and around-the-world for one-week to participate in a challenging business case study.
Global Health Department / Graduate Certificate
The Global Health Graduate Certificate is intended to enhance the education of UW graduate and professional students beyond the regular course of study. Courses emphasize the socio-political, economic, biomedical, and geographic factors that impact health policy and practice in developing countries.
Henry M. Jackson School for International Studies (JSIS)
JSIS offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as certificates in a variety of areas. Nine interdisciplinary programs lead to a Master of Arts in International Studies and requires study or competency in a foreign language.
International Programs & Exchanges (IPE)
A unit affiliated with UW Office of Global Affairs, IPE offers a wide-variety of international study abroad programs for graduate students and undergraduates: exchanges, internships, and independent research. Students also can enroll in regular courses at one of the UW's international partner institutions. Learn more about scholarships and travel issues such as insurance.
Marc Lindenberg Center
Established in 2002 in the Evans School of Public Affairs, the Center through teaching and pursuing original research uses multidisciplinary approaches to studying globalization and its influences. Learn more about current research at 206.221.3026.
Uplift International
A global health and justice project in the UW Law School (Center for Law in Science and Global Health) to advance health equity and prepare professionals to advocate for vulnerable populations.
