Recruitment Support: Our office specializes in providing support to prospective student of color applicants applying to the College of Education.
Our goal is to help demystify the graduate application process by providing:

Pre-application consultations to answer questions about the application process.

Help prospective students define their academic goals and research interests and match their interests with the appropriate program area and faculty specializations.

Connect prospective students with current graduate students of color to get inside information about student life and the academic research from a student already integrated in the experience.
Student Retention: Bringing people together in a supportive and nurturing space is at the core of build community among our diverse community.

We have a series of events throughout the year: quarterly student potlucks, weekly coffee hour gatherings, and informational luncheons.

Provide peer-to- peer academic and personal support.
