Staff Profile

Olivia Miasik

Work Study

As a work study at EDLPS, Olivia has become an aficionado of making copies, sending emails, and helping students and faculty with miscellaneous odd jobs and questions.

When she is not busy excelling in the work place, Olivia is usually studying for her classes. She is a sophomore at the University of Washington and enrolled in the Business School. Her goal is to get her Certificate of International Studies in Business, focusing on Accounting and Spanish. She wants to study abroad in Spain next spring and in Poland next summer.

In her spare time, Olivia can be found at the Polish Home, where she celebrates her heritage. She loves listening to Polish radio and exploring Poland’s extensive history. In addition, Olivia also works for Barnes and Noble where she can share her passion of reading with others. Her favorite books are The Namesake by Jhumpa Lahiri, which she highly recommends it to those who are first generation in the US, and the Olivia the Pig books by Ian Falconer , for obvious reasons. Olivia’s Thursday nights are dedicated to Grey’s Anatomy for one hour of relaxation. Last but not least, Olivia loves to spend time with her friends and family.
