* WEST-E in Elementary or Early Childhood is not required to graduate, but is
highly recommended and is required to be a Highly Qualified Teacher in at least one area. See your advisor for more information.
** Students in the ECSE and the Severe programs who complete the coursework and supervised fieldwork requirements outlined by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board can also take the BCBA exam after they graduate. Eligibility to sit for this exam is determined by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board
In some cases, reciprocal exams such as the C-BEST can replace the WEST-B requirement. If you have questions about this, please email edspe@uw.edu
