The MIT Early Start policy allows undergraduate students from University of Washington to apply for admission as juniors and begin the program in the Spring Quarter (Secondary) or Summer (Elementary) of their Senior year. Undergraduates who elect the Early Start option pay undergraduate tuition fees for the first quarter. Graduate credit is earned (and may be applied as elective credits toward completion of the undergraduate degree), while simultaneously fulfilling requirements for the 1st Quarter of the MIT.
For students entering the Elementary Education Program: Undergraduates entering the program through the Early Start option are formally accepted to the MIT program for Summer Quarter, but admitted to the Graduate School beginning Autumn Quarter following completion of the baccalaureate degree.
For students entering the Secondary Education Program: Undergraduates entering the program through the Early Start option are formally accepted to the MIT program for Spring Quarter, but admitted to the Graduate School beginning Summer Quarter following completion of the baccalaureate degree.
