New Faces

Rachel Lodge

Rachel Lodge works with the Center for Educational Leadership (CEL) team as a Product Developer to develop new learning tools and communications strategies that support CEL's 5D and Central Office Transformation frameworks. Before coming to CEL she worked for 7 years on program design, implementation and statewide technical assistance for Healthy Start, a statewide learning support program in California. She also brings 7 years' experience as an independent consultant developing strategic communications and program development tools for education, social services and arts organizations in California and Washington State. Rachel has an A.B. degree in History from the University of California, Berkeley and a masters degree in Public Affairs from the University of Texas, Austin. She is also a working artist. Vicky Murray

Vicky Murray joined CEL's staff in August, 2010 but prior to becoming a staff member she was a CEL consultant for several years. As a Project Director, Murray will be supporting districts who are learning about and using CEL's Five Dimensions of Teaching and Learning (5D) assessment and professional development. Murray worked in the Seattle and Bellevue School districts, though the majority of her thirty year public school career was in Bellevue. She was an assistant principal and principal, director of personnel, executive director of K-12 schools, and retired as assistant superintendent in 2009. She has also worked as a consultant with the Panasonic Foundation and supported research conducted related to the Coalition of Essential Schools.
