Student Organizations

Associated Students of the College of Education

The Associated Students of the College of Education (ASCE) supports students in the college in three chief ways.

  • We cultivate a positive culture and atmosphere in the COE by celebrating milestones and supporting one another through graduate school and into professional careers.  We connect with one another socially to establish more meaningful relationships that will lead to academic success, collaboration, support, and celebration.
  • We serve as the student government for the COE and act as a liaison between COE students and the administrations of the college and the university.
  • We strengthen professional development opportunities through student generated programs and initiatives to stimulate, challenge, and nurture individual and collective professional goals.

Current officers of ASCE include: Eligio Martinez Jr., Sasha Lotas, Shu-Fei Tsai, Maxine Alloway, Irene Yoon, Erica Anderson, Maria Zavala, and Cassady Glass Hastings, Mark Chen

Educators for Social Justice

Educators for Social Justice (ESJ) is a student group at the UW that advocates awareness, understanding, and action around issues of social justice within the College of Education, the field of education, and beyond.  Learn More
