Hello,
Thank you for your interest in visiting the College of Education at the University of Washington! We encourage you to come to Seattle, walk around our beautiful campus, and meet our faculty and staff. To facilitate your visit, we would like to make the following suggestions as to who you might see and what you might do while you are in the area.
If you are an admitted prospective graduate student, the best way to visit us is to participate in Prospective Student Days – April 2-3, 2009. This series of events will help you get acquainted with the College of Education and the University of Washington. During Prospective Student Days, you will have several opportunities to network with students and faculty from the College of Education and various other departments and to learn about funding, housing, campus climate, and living in Seattle.
If you are unable to participate in Prospective Student Days, then we are happy to offer the following recommendations for your visit:
Seattle combines unparalleled natural beauty with small-town friendliness, a Pacific Rim outlook, and cosmopolitan amenities. And the University District (“U-District”) is one of the city's oldest and most diverse neighborhoods. Boasting a unique mix of ethnic restaurants, coffeehouses, retail shops and other services, the neighborhood caters to student needs. If you’re visiting from out of town, we encourage you to take some time to get to know this remarkable city.
If you have other questions, please feel free to contact the Office of Student Services (edinfo@u.washington.edu or 206-543-7834).
We look forward to meeting you while you are here!
