Specific Admissions Requirements by Program: Masters Degree

Admissions requirements vary by program. Select your program of interest to see specific information for programs of interest to you.

Teacher Education (MIT)

Elementary Education

BA/BS; 3.0 min. GPA; Washington Educator Skills Test-Basic (WEST-B)*; Washington Educator Skills Test-Endorsements (WEST-E)*; resume; 2 letters of recommendation; goal statement (300-400 words - download helpful tips on writing goal statements for the TEP program); 60 hrs supervised educational experience with children; prerequisite coursework; click here for complete application details. *All Teacher Education Program applicants are required by the state of Washington to complete the WEST-B and the WEST-E. The GRE is not required for admission to the TEP but will be considered as part of the application if submitted. Secondary Education

We are proud to announce that our Secondary Teacher Education Program (STEP) is undergoing a major renewal. Based on the latest research on teacher education, and in collaboration with the College of Education, the College of Arts and Sciences, and Public School Partners, we will be launching an updated program in March, 2009.

Danforth Educational Leadership Program

BA/BS; MEd (or simultaneous enrollment in MEd);GRE General Test; demonstrated leadership ability; 3 years of teaching experience; arrange for half-time work release for the internship requirement; sample of scholarly writing. School Psychology
