The mission of the UW College of Education Technology group is to provide expertise and support for technology through a team that is local, responsive, and shares the vision and goals of the College of Education.
COE Technology provides help desk support for our students, faculty and staff. We support technology in College of Education classrooms , provide desktop support, and provide help on a walk-in basis in the computer lab.

The computer lab in Miller Hall is available to students and (by reservation) to classes and special events. The lab contains 20 workstations that can run under Windows 7 or MacOS. Document scanners are available. We have two workstations in the lab that allow for the transfer of VHS, DVD, and Mini DV video to computer.

COE Technology supports a check-out pool of equipment that can be borrowed by students, faculty, and staff of the college. The check-out pool includes laptops, projectors, small format video cameras (e.g. FlipCams), and much more. For more details contact the Help Desk. Make equipment reservations through the
Help Desk ticket system.
COE Technology supports five classrooms in Miller Hall: 104, 112, 212, 320, 411. These rooms are equipped with projectors and screens, audio systems, built in Mac computer, ability to connect your own laptop, Elmo document camera, and VHS/DVD player. On-site support for these rooms is available through the Help Desk.
COE Technology supports SMART classroom technology in the College of Education classrooms and select meeting rooms. For guides, downloads, and support see our Catalyst page: COE SMART Boards. This page is accessible by current College of Education students, faculty, and staff. If you have trouble accessing the page, contact the Help Desk.
Faculty and staff can book rooms online using the Classroom/Meeting Room Booking System. Students can reserve classrooms by contacting the Office of Student Services at coerooms@uw.edu.
Miller Hall classrooms 301, 302A, and 302B are scheduled and supported by UW Classroom Support Services (CSS). Room 301 is a 150 seat auditorium style classroom.
Miller Hall contains a "Smart Conference Room" for use by students, faculty, and staff. This room is equipped with phone and video conferencing equipment, projectors and multiple displays, audio systems , SMART white board, Elmo document camera, and VHS/DVD player. This room can be reserved by contacting the Office of Student Services at coerooms@uw.edu.
All COE technology purchases should be routed through the Technology department in order to streamline the purchasing process, provide aid and advice for purchases, and to obtain the maximum educational discount. Purchases for all software and hardware should be submitted using the Help Desk ticket system

Media support and services to faculty, staff, and students includes

Discounted Software Purchases for Students
The UW has a relationship with
Microsoft and e-academy through which students can purchase select Microsoft software
at educational discounts. Products are purchased online with a credit card and shipped. In the
future, students will be able to pickup select media at the University
Book Store Technology Center. More»
Faculty Digital Equipment Loan
In addition to laptops and Tablet PCs, UW Seattle faculty can now borrow
data projectors, wireless PowerPoint remotes, and mini-DV camcorders. Free
checkout is for several days or for an entire quarter. More»
Laptop Checkout for Students
UW Seattle students can checkout laptop computers for free from two locations: Health Sciences T-Wing and Kane Hall. Data projectors, digital cameras, camcorders, data/video projectors and screens, PA sound systems, and scanners also are available. Get information and make reservations online. More»
