UW College of Education Home To the Point

Welcome to the Neighborhood

Gretchen Cook

gretchen cookGretchen Cook is the new Program Assistant in the Office of Student Services. She comes to us with a good understanding of the University since she worked at the Career Center for the past three years as a Peer Advisor, and Office Assistant. In June she finished dual BA degrees in Design Studies (design theory, visual communication emphasis) and Women Studies here at the UW. She has completed her training to become a certified birth doula, and is slowly working on attending births to complete the certification. When she is not working, Cook enjoys quiet weekends at home with her husband, Andy. She has a zeal for the crafty/handmade side of life, and can often be found with many projects on her knitting needles, working on a quilt or two, or making something fabulous in the kitchen.

Bill Corrigan

bill corriganBill Corrigan has over 15 years experience integrating technology for teaching and learning, currently as an educational technologist developing programs and materials for Center for Educational Leadership. Prior to his current position, Corrigan was an educational technology consultant with Health Sciences Academic Services Computing Support Group integrating blogging and content management systems and developing an enterprise lecture capture system. Before that he served as an emerging technology project manager, bringing new technologies into service for UW, and before that as a leader in e-learning design and course development for UW Professional & Continuing Education. When he’s not helping educators, he may be found climbing mountains, running marathons, sailing or walking his Jack Russell Terriers.
