1. Accepting Admission
Once you are ready to make your decision about the UW College of Education, simply return to the online Application for Admission, log in with your e-mail address and password, and indicate your decision. Note that you must also have your student UWNetID set up. At that point, you must also pay your $250 deposit.
If you are unsure about accepting your offer of admission for any reason, including the varying impacts of the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, communication with your advisor is essential as they are best suited to assess what options exist given your individual needs, such as deferring your admission to the following academic year.
Once you accept the offer of admission, you will immediately see information about next steps, including how to send official transcripts to the Graduate School, as well as document immunizations. International students will find information about how to request a visa application and upload financial documents.
2. Enrollment Confirmation
Once you accept the offer and pay the enrollment deposit, you have successfully confirmed enrollment. Check out the Enrollment Confirmation Deposit page to learn about how to confirm your enrollment. There is no physical packet that is mailed though you should expect to register when your Registration Period opens. For more information about registration perods, check out the UW Registrar website!
3. Address Changes
If your address changes at any time prior to your enrollment, update your information by returning to the Online Application for Admission. Look for the “update profile” link in the top right corner of the application screen after you log in.
Advising & Coursework Selection
You are encouraged to contact your faculty advisor/program director as early as possible to discuss coursework for your program. While not required prior to registering, advising can be a helpful start to your first quarter. (NOTE: Danforth, L4L, IAL, School Psychology, & Islandwood students will receive specific registration information – contact your program administrator for details.)
The Office of Student Services is also a great resource for questions about enrolling. Reach out with any questions!
Once you confirm your intent to enroll, you will be able to register for autumn courses through MyUW beginning June 21, 2021. International students must also complete Graduate School enrollment steps. Newly admitted students must also meet immunization requirements.
How to Register via MyUW
The Registration Resources page covers a variety of topics including how to register using an SLN, how to view the UW Time Schedule, and more!
