Hi! I am so excited to be serving as one of the GSA's for OSDI and part of your support system to ensure we have a safe and welcoming environment for you to thrive in.
I am a proud Latina, first-generation college student and new to UW as I have completed my undergrad at the University of Arizona. I look forward to learning with and from you all this year as we navigate higher education together. As an immigrant and POC student I have seen the important role mentorship, community, advocacy and access to resources play through our educational journey, so I hope to create meaningful programs that include that and more. My academic background is in Elementary Education, Education Psychology, and working with first-generation college students from different backgrounds. Currently, I am a first year Master's student in the EDPOL program, so if you'd like to talk about either of these topics or want my support with something else please reach out!
