Join us for an opportunity to discuss, share and dive deeper into Anti-Bias Education for Young Children and Ourselves by Louise Derman-Sparks & Julie Olsen Edwards. We will explore the ideas presented by Derman-Sparks and Olsen Edwards, including the four core goals of anti-bias education, identity, diversity, justice and activism, constructing and understanding social identities and attitudes, building an anti-bias program, fostering children’s cultural identities and learning strategies to engage young learners in anti-bias conversations and learning activities. Guiding questions will be sent to all participants prior to the start of each book study session Each session will provide time to reflect, share and learn from each other.
