Certified teachers have two routes for adding additional endorsements:

Test Only

Several endorsement subjects can be added by passing the required content assessement exam and applying directly to the OSPI.  Be sure to visit their website for a list of subjects that can be earned via testing.

Program + Test

Multi-subject endorsements or those that relate to specific student populations can be earned by completing an approved college/university program which would include methods, practicum, and subject matter credits.  UW Seattle offers endorsement programs in ELL, reading and special education; for more information contact mnielsen@uw.edu.
