Position Description

We are looking for after school care for our 9 year old son on the autism spectrum.

Ferdinando is a sweet and lively 9 year old, always happy to swing, climb, jump, and dance. He is potty trained but requires assistance with bathroom operations (wiping, washing hands, etc.). Non verbal but learning to communicate with a AAC device.

Interest and/or experience in special education preferred but not required.

Responsibilities include:

-Pick up from school bus

-Prepare snacks for ravenous appetite

-Assist with bathroom operations

-Play (tickles, jumps, etc.)

-Assistance with AAC device and communication

Schedule:

Mon, Tue, Thu, Fri: 2:45 to 5:45 PM

Optional weekly date night until 10:00 PM

 

Salary: $30-35/h
