Ph.D., University of Washington, 2009
School Psychology Assessment Coordinator
Licensed Psychologist #60222161 (2011-present)
My experiences as an early childhood educator impressed upon me the importance of early intervention, positive parenting, and well-trained educators and interventionists. My training as an educational psychologist and clinical experience with children with challenging behaviors, learning differences, and neurodevelopmental disorders has informed my evaluation, therapy, and consultation practices. I value individual differences and focus on the strengths of children and their families.
As part of becoming a licensed psychologist in the state of Washington, I completed my doctoral degree in School Psychology at the University of Washington as well as internships with UW Center for Human Development and Disability, UW Parenting Clinic, UW Autism Center, and Seattle Children's Hospital. In addition to being the assessment coordinator for the program, I provide educator and parent trainings, consult with local schools, co-developed the Boyden Autism Center at Providence.
Regional Medical Center Everett, and am an interdisciplinary diagnostic team member at the UW Fetal Alcohol Syndrome Diagnostic and Prevention Network (FAS-DPN). These experiences and perspectives create the foundation of my approach to teaching and supervising students with a goal of supporting the development of competent and compassionate school psychologists.
